David Bonbright, Keystone’s Chief Executive, participated in The Center for Effective Philathropy’s conference ‘Aligning for Impact: Connecting the Dots’, 21 March – 1 April, 2009.
The CEP is a nonprofit organization focused on the development of comparative data to enable higher-performing funders. CEP’s mission is to provide data and create insight so philanthropic funders can better define, assess, and improve their effectiveness and impact.
This conference focused on Philanthropy Foundations’ effectiveness, methods of assessing Foundations’ performance, constituency voice, Foundations’ assistance beyond grant money and how to make better use of data.
David presented as a panelist in the session ‘Learning from Constituency Voice’. This session dealt with the issue of how Philanthropy Foundations can listen to the voices of those people whose lives they seek to affect. It spotlighted several creative approaches to this issue and asked participants to reflect on what they might learn from listening to constituent voice.
